Happy Ten Months!

Happy Belated Ten Months, Little Bug!! Here are some updates from the 10th month of our little boy's life":
Aiden continues to bring joy and life to those around him. He loves to smile and laugh at lots of things-and what a cute laugh he has! He loves to give smiles, bat his eyes, and do whatever he needs to do in order to get attention while we are out and about!!!
Aiden has become more of a little chatterbox this month. At times, he is very quiet and at other times, he babbles like crazy, making lots of new and interesting sounds. He often points and talk about things-I can't wait to hear words so we know what his silly thoughts are!
The second tooth came in this month...and what a cute smile two teeth make:)
Aiden loves, loves, loves to play!! He is especially fond of his Cozy Coupe, as you see in SO many of our pictures. He just climbs in and out all day long:) He also LOVES electronic things-remotes, phones, stereo, etc...anything with buttons and he gets mad if you remove them from his hands. Other toys that he is enjoying as of now are his slinky, books, activity box, blocks, and stacking stars!
Aiden was dedicated this month at our church here in Connecticut. We were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Rogers here to help celebrate this special occasion in his life. While they were here, Aiden also took his first trip to the zoo!
We enjoyed Aiden's first trip to the pumpkin patch!
Aiden just recently started to clap...and it's one of the most adorable things to see in the entire world. He first started clapping at bedtime while we sat in his rocking chair listening to a few lullabies before bedtime. Now, he does it during the day and every once in awhile, he will even clap when we sing If You're Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands!
We had a visit from Grandpa Ruff which included another hiking trip for our little man. We are so glad that he loves to ride in the Baby Bjorn and will be sad when he finally outgrows the thing!
Aiden is one CRAZY boy when we go out to dinner-I don't know what it is but Aiden + Restaurants= Chaos! He won't sit in the highchairs they provide, he stands and reaches for food and does anything one shouldn't:) It's like a big wrestling match...hence we eat out less and less!!!
Aiden loves when his Daddy finally comes home:) It's so cute to see Aiden crawl over to the gate to welcome Daddy!
We still have a picky eater on our hand-thank goodness for fruit, cottage cheese, yogurt, and oatmeal. We are trying to branch out and offer him more foods that we eat, including toast, spaghetti, and anything else that can be broken into small pieces for the little man. Now if only he would eat all that was offered...
Aiden LOVES bathtime-his favorite things to do are playing peek-a-boo with the washcloth and playing with our little bucket cups. He either tries to drink the bathwater (Yuck!) or puts it up to his mouth and makes silly noises in them. It's pretty funny!
We still have a boy who loves to get up early-it will be interesting to see what happens during the time change! Aiden also takes two naps during the day, which helps keep his mom sane!
Aiden's days are filled with lots of playtime, naps, errands, eating, jogs in the stroller, helping take care of the puppies, trying to get together with friends, and being loved by his mommy and daddy!!!
Happy Ten Months Aiden...We Love You!

Fabulous Fall Fun!

We have enjoyed a fabulous week around here:
First, we had a special visit from Grandpa Ruff which included a trip to the newly opened Fresh Market for some delicious meat, cheese, French bread, and oh-so-yummy apple pie. On Tuesday morning, we headed over to Sleeping Giant State Park for a long, enduring hike. The park got it's name because supposedly the mountain looks like a big, dozing giant. We climbed all the way to the left hip:) Dad and I also enjoyed a nice lunch out where he got to see wild Aiden at his best. For some reason, Aiden always goes crazy at restaurants. He will NOT sit in the highchair...he stands in it, tries to climb out of it, and reaches for everything in sight. This makes for a quick chow down for me, but I loved my yummy salad even while trying to wrestle our little boy:)
Second, we are celebrating the Hawkeyes season so far...even Aiden celebrated with some swings of joy (one of his new favorite activities)!
Third, we enjoyed lots of time outdoors the past few days as we are trying to soak in the last moments of sunshine and warm fall weather. Of course, we are enjoying our twice a day walks with Cobi and Sheffield and some ventures out in the beloved Cozy Coupe. Aiden and I have a nice routine where I force (and yes, somedays I have to force) myself out the door for a short run with Aiden in the jogger where we finish at the park. Aiden loves swinging, going down the slide while holding on to Mama's arms, playing on the structure, and attempting to eat the yucky woodchips:)
Here are some pictures from the past week:

Off to the pumpkin patch...

This weekend, we headed off to the pumpkin patch to help us get in the "fall" mood!  We had a great (and chilly!) time picking pumpkins, looking at farm animals, and admiring some unusual shaped gourds.  It's amazing that most of the pumpkins were the same size or bigger than Aiden!!  Here are some photos from our big adventure:
Hmm...what is this orange colored thing, Daddy??
I think I might like it:)
All smiles while picking out his pumpkin
Mommy and her little boy:)
Which one should I get???
There's so many to choose from!
I think I might try walking soon!
Take a close look in the wagon (far right side, blonde hair) and you can see that Daddy has the best gift ever:)
Favorite part of the trip:)
Happy Fall!!!  Love, Aiden

A Post from Aiden...

Oh No!!!  The weather is starting to get chillier here which means that Mommy makes me wear this funny hat when we walk the puppies in the early morning:
I wish that the doggies would let me sleep in here sometime with them.  I love to crawl in here and smile at Mommy:)
I am obsessed with these gates...one of my favorite things to do is swing the door back and forth!
I love snack time sooo much...and I also love to feed the puppies.  I think they love me even more when they get some bites of my Puffs:)
I love to go to the park...look at this awesome car!
Another day of swinging-my favorite thing to do at the park!
Yeah!!!  I got my basketball in the hoop-this is one of my new favorite things to do:)
Look, I am learning how to stand on my own.  Mommy is scared of the time that I learn how to walk...then I will be all over the place!
Daddy and I cooked Mommy a very nice birthday dinner!
Happy Birthday Mommy!!
