One of our favorite places...

I think we have a new favorite park in town!  I decided to stop by to this playground, attached to one of the local elementary schools, after a run one morning.  The boys fell in LOVE and constantly ask me to take them to school park.  We took Chris along one weekend after one of our family runs...

Want to know our favorite summer activity?

That's right, it's the POOL!!!!!!  We head over to the town pool at least three times a week.  I would probably head over more, but juggling my ever-changing mood 19 month old Andrew and my loving, but energetic, 3 1/2 year old Andrew...this is all about I can take:)

I have to admit that sometimes Andrew just haves a ball at the pool and sometimes he will cry just at the sight of water.  So we never know what kind of day we are in for until we get there.  Somedays are great and somedays are nightmares, but it keeps us sane in these HOT summer months!

 This one loves the pool for the most part, especially the big pool!  And nothing like taking a little snack break from the water---we do a lot of this!

Now, one of the best things about pool days are great NAPS!  And we just returned from this morning...Andrew is taking a great snooze while Aiden is resting with some Little Einsteins.  Perfect time to catch up on this blogging!

One more Iowa post...

Yes, I'm a little behind on blogging---but you can thank my two busy boys for that!  They are just SO full of energy from the moment they wake up until bedtime.  And we have phased out Aiden's afternoon nap---which means less free time for Mom, but a much smoother bed time, so I will take it:) 

We LOVED going to see Chris' aunt and uncle at their lake house this year!  This is the first time my kids have been near a lake---crazy right?  We have done pools and oceans, but no lakes yet.

At first, all they wanted to do was play with the awesome toys that Uncle Jerry and Aunt Julie have at their house for their grandkids:

Finally, I coaxed Aiden to hang out on the lake with me...

And Uncle Nate joined us (while Chris had a work phone conference to do!)

Then Chris finally came out and took his boy out on the paddleboat...

And Chris' mom and I headed out to do a little kayaking...

We took a nice pontoon boat ride before setting ourselves down for a nice evening meal...

We had SO much fun at the lake!  What a great day!

Oh, I'm scared of the future of my life.  I think it's time for Daddy to teach them some good table manners---HELP!!!!!!!!!
