There is never a dull moment in the Rogers household! We have been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY since our return from North Carolina. The boys keep my toes going at all time. I'm never sure what to expect from them and I have to say that I am on the go from about 6 am until 8:30-9:00 pm with the two of them. There is some sacred time in our house...and that is nap time which occurs around 1-3ish. I enjoy the downtime with every single bone of my body.
Aiden is constant energy right now! His new thing is to run everywhere:) He loves to run around the house and thank goodness for some nicer weather because he just loves getting outside and running around. The other day he was running around the yard with his arms outstretched chasing the dogs like a giant airplane! Like most toddlers, he is very observant and things are me, me, me. He is very independent-dresses himself, brushes his own teeth, makes his own oatmeal, and the list goes on and on and on. Most of the time, his peculiarities make me laugh but sometimes they come close to driving me crazy (especially when I have a major lack of sleep and my patience is running thin)!!!!
Andrew continues to grow everyday! I definitely think he is going to be bigger than Aiden, but he is still my little peanut:) I have to secretly admit that I love nap time so much because I spend most of this time cuddled on the couch soaking up some time with my little boy. I just know how fast this baby stage goes and I want to try to enjoy every minute of it! We are trying to get Andrew to take a bottle, but are not having much luck. I'm hoping that he will start taking one soon as this sleep deprived mama would like a full night's sleep sometime soon!!!!! He is becoming much more aware of the world around him-grasping toys, cooing and making sounds, and lots of smiles and giggles:)
Besides running around with the boys, Chris and I have been working on this old house non-stop. Next time I move, I have already vowed to buy something newer with less upkeep...It is has been SO much work, especially when we have two little kiddos to chase. In the past two weekends, we have painted our bedroom, hung new curtains, added some wall letters to Andrew's room, hung a new entryway light, repainted two radiator covers, reseeded our grass, and Chris is now working to fix a BIG hole that showed up in our closet (thanks to the previous owner's terrible handiwork!). (If you can't tell by now, we are some of Home Depot and Lowe's favorite customers!!!) We also had to have our refrigerator repaired since we have been back and tomorrow, we will be getting a NEW dishwasher! Believe it or not, I have been hand washing dishes for 3 months when our other one decided to quit and tomorrow is going to be one BIG celebration as I will finally have a dishwasher again!!!!
With any other free time we have left, I have been going to story time at the library, meeting up with a playgroup, and running errands. (Who knew that grocery shopping would make me sweat?) We enjoyed a short visit from my dad yesterday as he arrived back from Israel. I know that he enjoyed the mall train ride as much as Aiden did and I am thankful that I had a good excuse to get some ChickFilA lunch! I am anxiously waiting for next Tuesday when my big black boot will finally be off and I can get on to life with normal-that thing drives me CRAZY!!!!!!
Here are some pictures of the boys for all to enjoy:
Aiden told me that he was going to drive in our new car to Meme's and Grandma Snow's that night! He went upstairs to pack his keys and phone into his John Deere lunchbox. Then, he came downstairs and put his shoes, coat, and Daddy's hat on and told me he was all ready to go!
Loves Tuesday and Friday mornings when the garbage truck comes:)
Hanging out around the house-how we spend a lot of our day!
Making waffles with Mommy
Loves bathtime:)
And Andrew...
Not sure if he really notices the toys, but we pretend!
Getting ready to take a daily outing with Mommy and Aiden!
Enjoying some tummy time on the playmat
Spending a few quiet moments with Mommy and Daddy after Aiden goes to bed:)
All clean after his bath! And this boy is starting to FINALLY like his baths...no more tears and every once in awhile, he will even crack a smile in the bathtub!!!

Julie -- Great photos! I enjoyed my one day stay and arrived home safe and sound last night. Thanks once again for the hospitality and to Chris for the early morning ride from Newark.
What doll-dolls! Their Grammie loves those boys to pieces! Aren't they adorable?
