Happy Fifteen Months!

At fifteen months:
We continue to stay busy with our little bug. Our days are filled with playing with the doggies, playdates, library time, running errands, exercising with Mommy, and just having free play most of the day! Aiden's favorite "toys" are phones, computers, the hair dryer, remote controls, decks of cards, and his parents. (In the picture below, you will see how excited he is to have the phone in one hand and the computer in the other!) When he actually plays with his own toys, he enjoys his corn popper, his mini-kitchen, the ball popper, and his miniature house. He also loves to hear books, especially Go Dog Go! and Tickle Monster!
Aiden continues to bless his mom with two naps during the day! As much as I love spending time with my son, a nap is a baby's gift to his or her parents. It's time to check things off of the to-do list, clean house, exercise, or just plain relax. Aiden goes to bed between 7:30-8:00 and wakes up around 7:00:) He continues to sleep with his "paci" and LOVES his rainforest mobile and music bear. We often hear these objects sometime during the night...I think if he wakes up, he turns one on, and puts himself back to sleep. Aiden got two new teeth this month and one more is on the way! Teething makes for a few extra fussy moments, but makes his smile shine so much more:) Check out the teeth in the picture below:
Aiden loves to feed himself and does not like when Mommy or Daddy try to put food in his mouth! He has almost mastered use of the fork and spoon, eating up his favorite foods of clementines, goldfish, hot dogs, bananas, and eggs!
Aiden has learned how to point to his body parts-nose, mouth, belly, feet, and hands. He also sniffs when you ask what smells-I love his scrunched up nose face. He continues to follow instructions, brings us things when asked, and just loves being a part of our everyday life.
Aiden loves, loves, loves to be outside! We love go on walks and runs, but his favorite thing to do is just to play outside. We often play in the yard with the dogs, outdoor toys, and just roaming around. He also loves to go to the park and climb, slide, and explore!!!! Thank goodness for some nice spring weather!
Aiden continues to be our little bug. He weighed 19 pounds and measured around 28 inches at his fifteen month appointment:) Our little baby has such a sweet, happy demeanor. He loves life, loves people, and loves new adventures. He loves to laugh...at himself, others, and especially when he is being tickled! He is often shy when put in new situations, often clinging to his Mommy until he starts to feel comfortable. This doesn't surprise me with two shy parents, but I am hoping that he starts to feel more comfortable in new situations as he discovers more about life. Although I know I shouldn't laugh at my little bug, sometimes all I can do during his full fledged temper tantrums is excuse myself from the room and laugh:) He is a strong-willed, independent toddler who knows what he wants and does not like when he doesn't get his way. I wonder where he gets that...
I can't believe that he is only fifteen months old-what did I do before I had this crazy toddler?:) I am so excited for another month of adventures!

Motrin, Extra Cuddling, and Doctor Visit Means ONE SICK BABY!

I miss this precious smile:
Our little bug is SOOO sick! I have never seen him so miserable-won't eat, super clingy, and not his usual smiling self. He had a fever of 103 degrees yesterday so we made a trek on over to the doctor. Although we got no total answers, the doctor thought it could be either an oncoming ear infection, a reaction to his MMR shot, or some kind of virus! So I am hoping that a few days of extra cuddles and doses of Motrin will bring our little boy's joy back:)

Stepping Stones Children's Museum

Last weekend, we made a trip to the Stepping Stones Children's Museum in Norwalk! It was their 10th birthday celebration, so we got in for free:) Nothing like a good deal!

Aiden loved climbing around their toddler area-lots to do and so much fun!!! Often, in new places, Aiden is shy and sticks close to his parents. But all the activities and climbing equipment helped our little one break out of his shell.

Hi Mommy and Daddy!
Listening to the bee buzzing
Peering out the windows
Going up the stairs all by myself
Weee!! Going down the slide:)
Climbing on the beanbag chairs:)
Time to go home, boo!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope you all had a festive day! Our day wasn't the most festive, but it was a fun one! Here's what the day consisted of:
1. Lots and lots and lots of laundry!
2. A long morning nap for Aiden, which means no afternoon nap!
3. Being outside-taking the dogs for a walk while Aiden rides in the wagon, playing in the backyard, and going to the park.
4. Enjoying the nice spring day with a jog with Aiden in the stroller.
5. And leftover taco pizza-YUM!

Happy Belated Birthday Clem! (A Post from Aiden)

My cousin, Clemmers, turned one on Sunday! I had so much fun helping her celebrate and spending some precious time with her:) Here are some pictures from our visit:

This is the best picture that one can have the two of us because we just like to play, play, play all the time!
I picked out these awesome blocks for Clem-I think that she liked them!
Clemmie has never tried cake before-I think she is nervous! Boy, is she in for a sweet surprise?
It was funny to watch her eat and I really wanted her piece of cake too:) It was so good!
Thanks for letting us come visit! Can't wait to see you again soon:)

Monsoon Weather!

We are having some crazy, crazy weather here in Connecticut this weekend. We have flood and high wind warnings all weekend long-which makes for one yucky, disgusting mess outside!
One of our favorite indoor activities is to head to the Stamford mall play area! Although we didn't head here today, I wanted to post some pictures from a couple weeks ago of Aiden having a blast:
Climbing on the butterfly!
Look Mom, I'm a flower child!
Hanging with Daddy!
Tunnel fun!!
Going down the cracker slide with Mommy's help!
Hello Mrs. Ladybug:)

So ready for spring...

We have had some GORGEOUS days here in CT:)
Lots of sunshine + 55 degree weather = Spending lots of time outside.
We have been enjoying the park, jogging with the stroller, playing with the neighbors, walking around our own yard, and having fun taking the dogs for their daily walks.
Here are some photos from the past couple days:
Opening the door and ready to head outside
Look at me, Mama! Is this what you do with the basketball??
So happy to be in sunshine!
On one of our first spring jogs, FINALLY!!!!!!
Enjoying the rocking chair!
Wandering around the yard
Playing on the porch
Lots and lots of leaves to play with
Mowing the lawn
All that play makes one thirsty for milk!!!
Let's hope that the next month brings many more beautiful days!!!!

Snippets: March 3rd, 2010

Just so you can see little Aiden in action, here are some video clips from the past week:
In the first clip, Aiden is getting ready to go outside in the snowstorm that we had last weekend. The only boots we have are hand-me-downs and twice his size, so he was waddling around in the crazy big shoes:) Also, you will notice that when he wants to do something (such as ride his Tonka truck), he claps his hands together for us to notice. It's his own little version of sign language!
In the second clip, listen carefully as Aiden jabbers about the snow. He liked the snow, but only for a little while. Can't blame him, I'm the same way!!!
In the third clip, Aiden is showing off his new skill of using a fork as enjoys some chinese chicken. Yummy!
In the last clip, Aiden is playing hide and go seek with Daddy:) Enjoy!!!!!
