Our Week In Review...

This is from last week...

Look who found his Woody pajamas-and this is what started my morning off bright and early on Monday morning (and do you notice the Buzz phone tucked into his pants?)...
We quickly changed out of our pajamas and headed to our weekly music class:) After music, we stayed at the community center with some friends and the kids went crazy in the gym. What you do in the winter to keep these kids busy! After everyone parted ways, the kids and I walked over to the library and checked out some new books and movies. We can't stay too long because these kids are a little too rowdy for our library! Finally, we headed home for some naps and spent the afternoon just chilling around the house!

On Tuesday, Aiden had another morning at preschool while Andrew and I did some major errand running. It's amazing what you can do with just one kid in tow-we made it through AC Moore (for some craft items), Carter's/Osh Kosh (for some sale shopping to stock up for next year), Gap Outlet (for a return), TJ Maxx (for a fundraising gift for Aiden's school) all within about an hour! Andrew was wonderful between snacks and the new scenery, he had a great time being my errand buddy. We made it back to school just in time to pick up Aiden and head home! Both kids were worn out and were ready for naps. We headed over to our friend's house in the afternoon for some playtime and a delicious gourmet dinner of boxed macaroni and cheese:) When we arrived home, we changed into our pajamas and had some playtime upstairs in Andrew's room before our little one headed to bed!
While I am putting Andrew to bed and picking up at the end of the day, Aiden usually enjoys watching one of his favorite shows in our bed! I'm pretty sure he picked Little Einsteins-his favorite for the week!

Wednesday was a BIG day around here-HAIRCUTS!!!!!!!! It's been a long time coming, but both of these boys were in desperate need of some major trimming. We started off the morning with a trip to the groomers-Good bye to Cobi and Sheffield as they were on their way to the haircuts first. Then, I drove the boys to the children's salon in town, Jack and Jill, an adorable little place that specializes on children's hair. It was such a wonderful experience for little kids to get a haircut and they had a deal on Wednesday mornings that I had to take them up on. Here are the before and afters:

Before, Aiden's hair was actually really bushy (although you can't really tell in the picture)
And Andrew's hair was just starting to go wild...
And now, Aiden is all adorable!
And so is this little guy!
Aiden was wonderful while getting his haircut, using his manners with the hair dresser and not flinching. Andrew, for his first official haircut, was a bit wilder! He sat in my lap (or stood) and it took a little bit of wrestling to keep him still, but overall he did a wonderful job too. They gave us his first official haircut certificate with his precious baby locks all sealed up. After haircuts, we walked through town to get a treat at the bread store and a much-needed coffee drink for Mommy! We had our usual afternoon of playing around the house, dinner, and baths!

Another school day on Thursday! I have to say that I am very thankful for these few extra moments with Andrew while I know Aiden is having a blast at school with his friends and teachers:) After dropping Aiden off, I ran a quick errand to the post office before returning home for a very fun visit with a friend here in town. We were working on preparing things for our craft night-although we didn't get much done with our two little wild boys running around! After I picked Aiden up from school, the boys were treated to a little extra tv show while I prepared some lunch!
After naps, we made this water rainbow before we headed off to the grocery store to pick up a few things for my craft night that was planned the following day!

I have to tell you that by Friday during busy season, I am beat! Andrew wakes up at 5:45 am every day-no fail lately, and Chris leaves for work by 6:45 and doesn't arrive home most nights until 9:30-10:00. Andrew woke up during the night on Thursday for a good hour before we finally coaxed him to sleep with a bottle of milk (yes, we are still working on breaking that habit) and Chris was off to work before 6 am-YIKES. When Aiden awoke, I have to admit that we watched at least an hour of television in bed (or I actually slept) until Andrew awoke at 8:15!!! I felt like a whole new person not waking up until then.
Since Andrew has had a little cold and Aiden was developing a deep cough, I decided to run them to the doctor just to check them out, especially with all the kids we know that are sick right now. Thankfully, they just have head colds and nothing else! We grabbed a small to-go lunch at Panera before heading home to rest and recover the rest of the day! Super Why made an appearance sometime during the day...
And so did our tunnel that was tucked away in a closet for lots of fun!

Finally, Daddy arrived home to take over bedtime duties and I enjoyed a fun night with some friends doing some wonderful craft activities off Pinterest! What a fun week:)

What is wrong with this kid?

Just a normal story time for everyone except my child. I have no idea what he is doing!

I wonder where he gets it...

Aiden's nonsense songs and non-stop talking reminds me of someone I grew up with-his Uncle Andy:) Two peas in a pod...

Our Week In Review...

We started off last week with a very quiet Monday! Most people had the day off for MLK, but Chris headed on in thanks to busy season:) So the boys and I spent the morning playing around the house and took some early naps...

Because when we woke up, we headed to a free trial class at a local gymnastics center that was held by the Newcomer's club in town. Both boys LOVED it!!! I really think I should sign them up for something because they had a blast. I didn't get any pictures as I was CHASING the two boys all over the place, but my friend caught this picture of Aiden. (She tried to get some of Andrew but he was just a blur!)
After the class, we headed to Target to do a quick return where I walked out of the store without buying ONE thing and we headed home for a quiet night before hitting our beds early after a busy afternoon!

Aiden headed to preschool Tuesday morning where he had another fun day-learning about the letter "o" and doing some preschool yoga. Andrew and I attended a free Mommy and Me class before taking a walk to get munchkins with our friends. We picked Aiden up, had some lunch, and everyone was down for their naps! We spent the afternoon doing some crafts and lots of playtime in our basement!

On Wednesday, we had some friends over in the morning for some more playtime in the basement! After naps, we were very excited for a short visit with Uncle Andy who flew all the way out here from California!!!! He had a meeting in NJ the next morning, so he got to spend one short, but fun, night with us. We had a wonderful time playing, playing, and playing with him:) Hope we didn't wear him out too much...

Aiden headed off to preschool on Thursday morning while I drove my brother out to his meeting about 1/2 hour away from here. Once we got back home, Andrew soaked up the quiet house by playing with all of Aiden's toys. Check out his tool belt and his fascination with the Super Why writer.
We had friends over until pick up for preschool and had another quiet night around the house on Thursday. Thankfully, Chris arrived home to help put the kids to bed as I wasn't feeling the best!

I was supposed to head to a doctor's appointment on Friday morning, so Chris worked from home for the day! Someone was very excited about spending time with his Daddy and decided that he needed to work too!
My appointment got cancelled so I took a walk to downtown with the boys to see the children's consignment store who had a 1/2 off deal on all winter clothes so I got a couple things for next year! And Chris ended his work day early on Friday to spend some quality time with the boys in the afternoon! He ended up putting the kids to bed so I could head out for a neighbor ladies' night out on town! Usually, Aiden is pretty good about going to bed but he may have worn these pajamas for the first time on Friday:
And they made him go wild! I got a text at about 10:15 (about 2 hours after bedtime) indicating that this guy was still up and playing in his room! I think he spent the whole night thinking he was Buzz Lightyear! Thankfully, he finally crashed and was asleep before I got home and yes, he did still wake up by 6:30 am!!!

Let It Snow!

We had our first snowfall this past weekend. It snowed like crazy early Saturday morning, but thankful ended by noon:) Just enough for us to enjoy the nice little snowfall it was, but hopefully with the 50 degree weather we get today it all melts away!

After playing like crazy all morning in the house, we were ready to burn a little energy outside before nap time arrived. We put on the snow pants and headed out...

Aiden LOVED the snow, at first:)
And went for a quick sled ride...
While Andrew did NOT like the snow (Who can blame him?)! He spent his time playing in the Cozy Coupe in the garage where I also stayed for a little warmth. (There was also a light rain so it wasn't the best weather to play in.)
Aiden played for about 15 minutes before he was ready to play inside, but he liked it more than he had any other year!
We quickly got our coats off after a couple tearful meltdowns of being cold, bundled under the blankets for some Yo Gabba Gabba, and I made them some hot chocolate:)

What a wonderful snowy day-but now bring me some sunshine and QUICK!

Some crafting and a few more cute pictures...

Last week, I got through a couple craft projects getting ready for the upcoming Valentine's Day!
I made those cute Valentine holders with a friend (although I would like to change out the ribbon tying it to the chair once I make another trip to the craft store), but I'm very happy with how they turned out!
And I made this LOVE canvas art as well as this LOVE word art. Both were VERY EASY to do as I don't have a lot of extra time to craft-I'm usually doing it while the kids are playing or eating:)
And here are a couple more pictures from the week that I wanted to share. There's no smile here but I still love this picture. Have I ever mentioned that my boys love anything related to trains?;)
And this little boy might be my next handyman...
Andrew LOVES to brush his teeth! He often has a tantrum in the bathroom because he wants to carry his toothbrush or toothpaste around:) Every dentist's dream...
Both of my boys love to eat apples whole:) If one is eating an apple, then the other one wants one! With the winter season upon us, it is often a staple in our house as it is one fresh fruit that I know we can find!
And finally, finally...this guy is starting to drink his milk out of a sippy cup. We are down to about 2 1/2 bottles of milk a day and the rest of the day he drinks from his cup:) And it makes him very happy!

Outside in the Winter...

We cherish ANY moments that we can get outside in the winter for more than a short walk!!!!

Our Week In Review...

We started off our Monday with our first music class on 2012! Of course, the boys loved the singing, dancing, and just going crazy;) After music, we headed to a small playgroup with the Newcomer's group in town where we got more and more playtime out of the house. We spent the afternoon just chilling around the house and even got outside for a little outdoor playtime. It was beautiful out! This boy LOVES the train just as much as his older brother:
And this one loves his snack time!:
On Tuesday, someone had his third day of preschool! Less than a minute and the tears went away and he had a wonderful day:) Andrew and I headed home for a quick nap for our little guy while I got a few things done around the house. Then we headed to a town close by to do a couple returns and grab me a lunch from Panera-what a treat for me! And I even picked up a McDonald's Happy Meal for the boys so no dishes for me at lunchtime!!! Aiden woke up quite early from nap so we got ready for some painting:) Thanks MeMe Rogers for the smock-I have a feeling that these will last for a long time!
We did some painting before our friends popped over to do some crafting and playtime! Afternoon playdates always make the day go a little quicker:) We had some soup for dinner and had a little extra time to play before bed!

On Wednesday, we headed over to the library in town to check out some books about winter and some new movies for the week! After the library, we headed to a local pizzeria to meet up again with the Newcomer's group! The kids got to make their own little pizzas before eating them. The kids had a wonderful time, despite the amount of time it took to get our pizza, and we arrived home just in time for naps! After naps, we played at home for the afternoon, which usually consists of some crafting, snack time, and playing in our basement! This little guy was extra silly before bedtime:

On Thursday, Aiden discovered some birds at our feeder first thing in the morning! Thanks Grandpa for our Christmas gift:)
After getting ready for school, we headed over to drop off our big boy with not one tear today!!!! Andrew took a short nap before we headed over to our playgroup with his friends. After picking up Aiden, we headed for a short trip to Target to pick up some necessities! It was close to lunchtime, but thankfully we had some goldfish for Andrew and a little iPhone use for Aiden to keep these boys content! After naps, we played and played and played and were glad that we finally got to see Chris before bedtime! Chris took care of the boys' bedtime while I snuck out for an evening lap swim with a friend.

Finally, Friday came! As much as I love my boys, the weeks during busy season and the cold winter make it extra hard to be a stay at home mama with these two VERY active boys!
After a short morning for Andrew, we headed over to Barnes and Noble to meet a friend for some treats and train table time!!! I let each one pick out a special treat-Andrew picked out an Elmo book (one of his favorite characters, he wouldn't put it down) and Aiden chose the Maisy Valentine book. After a short quiet time for Aiden and a short nap for Andrew, I still have several hours to kill before Chris arrived home for dinner. We headed to a different Target as I heard they were having a great clearance on children clothes and I can always stock up for next year! We did find some really cute shirts for about three dollars each and the boys had a FUN time. Aiden was pretending the cart was a choo-choo train and he was the conductor and had this whole made up game the entire time we were there. He was sad when we had to load in the car! We made a pit stop on the way home to grab a milkshake for the three of us to split and spent the rest of the afternoon playing around the house and watching Toy Story!!! Finally, Chris arrived home and the weekend began!
