Happy Fourteen Months!

Happy Belated 14 Months Aiden!! We have had a really busy month and have LOVED every single moment with our little man. Here are some highlights from the past month:

Aiden is busy, busy busy!!! He is walking all over the place, often with some random object in his hand...a phone, book, piece of trash, etc. We spent a week in North Carolina with my family. Aiden was a great travel buddy and this has been the easiest time to travel with him yet. He loved spending time with his Grammy, Grandpa, and Great-Grandma:) Aiden also had a special visit from G and G Rogers:) Thanks for to both of our families!

Aiden has learned how to drink from a straw and is obsessed with anything that his mama is drinking....which this month means he has had his share of sweet tea! His favorite foods are bananas (especially when he gets to hold the WHOLE banana and shove it all into his mouth) and ANY fruit, goldfish, eggs, and cheese.

Some of his favorite toys (besides electronics) are: corn popper and other pushing toys, mini-kitchen, books!, Mr. Monster, riding toys, and Tupperware/other kitchen gadgets! I think this kid might be a chef when he grows up for how much time he could spend playing in the kitchen...

He loves to listen to music, especially his Wee Sing cds. He pulls a cd out, walks it towards the stereo, and even knows how to help put it in order to listen to music!!

He understands so much of what we say and follows directions often-gets specific books (his favorites are Pooh, lift-the-flap, Tickle Monster, and Go Dog Go!), brings us things, heads towards his room when it is diaper changing time, etc. It's awesome to see this development day to day. Most of our days are spent playing around the house, playing telephone, running errands, library storytimes, playdates with friends, taking the dogs out to play when it's somewhat warm out, and keeping Aiden entertained!!! He loves to meet new people and running around stores when you let him out of the stroller:)

He LOVES his bath time after dinner. We race towards the bathroom first to brush his teeth-he loves his toothbrush so much that sometimes he can't even part with it when he gets into the bathtub). Next, we pick out toys for his bath. His favorite toys right now are his squirters...he loves filling them up over and over again. His favorite part of the bath is when we let the water go down. He races back and forth across the bathtub running away from our hands to take him out. Once he is dried off, he loves to help rub in his lotion and comb his hair! So cute:)

Aiden's newest word is "Up" which he will say when he wants to join us on the couch or walking up the stairs-so cute:) He also has added to sign language-his new signs are "milk", "please" and "bath". He also throws his arms up in the air when asked "How Big is Aiden?" He nods his head "yes" and "no" when asks questions. He loves to wave bye-bye to people and give high fives! Here is a video of him signing please:

I can't wait to see what another month brings! Happy 14 Months my precious boy:)

Just a quick update...

We had a low key weekend around the Rogers household: birthday party for a friend, Super Bowl and home-cooked wings, dinner out to Chili's, and just chilling around the house. I wanted to post these pictures as we had lots of use out of the doorway jumper yesterday:
Oh No! The jumper isn't just for Aiden anymore!
Cobi going for a swing:)
And Sheffield's turn...he didn't enjoy it as much!
Finally, it's Aiden's turn!

I wanted to post this picture from this morning because I thought it was so cute! Look's like we might have another person fond of tractors in the family besides Grandpa Ruff! Instead of pushing his little toy tractor around, he wanted a ride on it:

Aiden and I are off to North Carolina tomorrow-YEAH for time with family, sweet tea, and some southern sunshine (I hope!).

Aiden's Week In Review (Including Happy Birthday Daddy!)

Aiden has another weekly post for his faithful blog readers:
I am so glad that I am starting to feel better this week! Last week, I was so sick and it is no fun at all to be sick, even when Mommy and Daddy tried to pamper me. Here's my week in review:
Monday-we had a lazy day around home. Mommy let me play with my toys all day, in our pajamas. It was so much fun. My favorite toys this week are my laugh and learn house, books, my tunnel, blocks, and household electronics. Here is a picture of me in my pjs:
Tuesday: Mommy took me to library storytime in the morning where I love to listen to songs, stories, and play with other babies:) Once we returned home, we were lucky enough to have some friends come visit for a playdate and lunch. The mommies tried hard to play an uninterrupted game of Bananagrams (the best game ever) during lunch but with two of us toddler boys running around this was not easy for them. Mommy and I were lucky enough to have Daddy come home earlier than usual since he had a dentist appointment earlier in the day. I love these days so much!!! Here are some pictures from the day (I love to clap, push my toy, and cook in the kitchen with Mommy):

Wednesday-ERRAND DAY...Target, grocery store, and a few other stops along the way. Mommy took me everywhere!!!! Daddy worked late which meant I had to go to bed a little earlier because I think Mommy needed a well-deserved break at 7:30 pm:) No pictures to include because we were so busy.

Thursday-Happy Birthday Daddy! We spent the morning at another library storytime and then spent the day prepping for Daddy's birthday: making a yummy chocolate cake and getting a special dinner ready. I loved the mashed potatoes that Mommy made for the chicken wrap. Yum, yum! We were lucky enough to have Daddy come home earlier and hope that he enjoyed his special day!!! Here are some pictures-look, I can fit in the drawers now!

Friday-Mommy goes to Bible Study in the mornings and I go to childcare! I get really sad when Mommy leaves me, but I try to be a big boy and not cry so hard. Mommy has a really hard time leaving me because I get so upset. Someday, myseparation anxiety will go away, right???? Here I am saying hi to the camera after we got home:

Enjoy some pictures:)

I picked up a new charger for my computer, so I am back in action! I am off to do a quick workout while Aiden's nap, but wanted to share some new photos. Enjoy!:

Aiden loves to walk around with random objects...I think he is carrying a dog bone in this picture.
He loves his Ikea tunnel!
Drums aren't for playing...they are for standing!
Sharing his truck ride with Mr. Monster!
Finally starting to feel better after a rough week of the flu:)
I love my baby boy!!
