Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!

It's a bit belated, but Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!! We enjoyed a wonderful feast at home featuring turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, homemade rolls, green bean casserole, squash casserole, stuffing, and homemade cranberry sauce. And I would have to say that this is the best Thanksgiving meal I have cooked yet...

We are still eating leftovers! Uncle Nate joined us for the past few days to celebrate the holiday. Thanks for coming Nate:)

We spent the day playing, cooking, playing, cooking, and playing!!! What a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family:)

Taking a Break...

Look at these two taking a break from our crazy, busy days with a weekend in our pajamas:)

So I feel like I have taken a break from blogging, but not for any good reason besides:
1. My computer is slowly dying so I have been hesitant to load any more pictures on it in case my hard drive fails. But I have everything backed up now on my external hard drive besides my latest download so I'm feeling a little more secure. I have had some slight (or major) problems but my computer is still ticking so I can't quite pull the trigger to buy a new one. Even with Chris' support, the price tag is a bit hefty when you have two little kids, birthdays coming up, and holiday season on us!!!

2. Our days are busy, busy, busy right now. Here's the rundown of our general week right now:
Mondays...We head to music class in the morning usually followed a trip to the park or running errands. Today, we took a trip to Barnes and Noble to do some Christmas shopping and play at the beloved train table there:)
Tuesdays...We head to a friends class at the community center for toddlers and often take a trip to the community library to check out some books and videos. We enjoy looking at their books, playing on the kid computer, and watching the BIG goldfish that lives there.
Wednesdays...We head to a neighboring library for story time and usually get together with friends or run a quick errand before heading home for lunch.
Thursdays...We have a play group that rotates between houses with the Newcomer's group in town. It's a great time to relax and let the kids play, play, play:)
And Fridays...We usually get together with another group of friends either at a park or at someone's house! It's usually very chill as I often am caught wearing sweatpants!

Afternoons after naptime are spent running errands, playing at the park, getting together with friends, or catching up on things around the house!!! So you can see that our weeks seem to fly by with our busy, busy, busy schedule:) I feel like I get the minimal work done around here as I am chasing an almost three year old and a very wild almost one year old. (Can you imagine that Andrew climbed onto the table yesterday????)

We spent this weekend chilling around the house, only leaving as a family to get ice cream last night and to see the holiday lights downtown. And of course to watch the choo-choo pass through town!! Besides playing around the house, I got out for a night with friends on Friday, picked up all our food for the Thanksgiving meal, and took a solo trip to the craft store to enjoy the big holiday savings while Chris blew our massive amount of leaves so they are ready to be picked up this week and enjoyed the Hawks victory!!!

We are looking forward to Chris being off the rest of the week and enjoying this holiday week:)

Pumpkins and More...

So I'm still in rewind mode and thankfully, we are finally catching up on life around here!!! This was our first weekend in SO long that we had no plans and it was wonderful:)

Chris took Aiden to his first movie on Saturday. There is a movie theater around here that shows a young children's movie each month with a program called KidToons. November's feature was a Thomas movie and with our train loving boy, we knew that this would be a great first movie for Aiden. Aiden loved it AND the popcorn that came along with the show!!!!! I think his Daddy liked the movie too...we both called dibs on next month which is an Olivia movie. While they went to the movie, Andrew and I hit the grocery store where I would have to say picking up groceries with one kid was much easier then taking two:) The rest of the weekend was spent raking leaves, walking to downtown, playing at the park, and just enjoying some time as a family.

These are pictures from the month of October. I have a whole camera full of pictures to download soon:) We painted some pumpkins on Halloween morning!

Our itty bitty artist...
And my big boy painter...
This is fun!
These are some pictures just taken around the house. Aiden and Happy Feet in the boat...
Someone found the cheese crackers...
Big brother Aiden is sharing his beloved phone. I think it makes his brother happy:)
So proud of his phone! (And can you tell someone dressed himself?!?!?)

My happy wild boy!
Having fun at the park:)

North Carolina (Part Two)

We spent the rest of our vacation at my mom's house in Cary, NC. We had a wonderful time and the boys miss their MeMe;) (And their mama does too...)

Aiden likes Abby the kitty cat...
My little rascal who is all over the place...
Smile:)
Someone liked Grandpa's bus toy...
So much that he slept with it!
Just having some lunch...
And some playtime outside!
At Grandpa's house, Aiden had a crazy bathtime!

Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful trip!

North Carolina...(STILL IN REWIND!)

While we were refinishing the floors, I headed south with the kids to visit my parents:) Today, I am featuring pictures from our visit to Blowing Rock to see my Dad! We did some hiking, playing, and lots of relaxation in the peaceful mountains. Thanks Dad:)

Out of anywhere to play in the house, the kids' favorite spot was the stairs. And don't worry, Aiden was sliding down on his belly...he didn't fall:)
Enjoying a walk around the lake!
Someone wanted to walk himself (until the end when Grandpa had to carry him on his shoulders). And you do notice that he had to carry his pretend cell phone?!?!
My crazy life everyday with these two. I love them, even though I'm always exhausted now!!!
Starting him early on a John Deere
And we are starting Andrew even earlier with the John Deere
Playing in the leaves at Grandpa's:)
And going on a hike in the mountains!
Enjoying a short break before our big climb back to the car!
Loving my brother!

Trip to the Big Apple (Rewind Mode!)...

While Chris' parents were here, we took a big trip into NYC, aka the Big Apple! We live so close to the city, but yet I can't brave myself to take them in ever! Too much work with two little ones:) But with some extra hands and beautiful weather, we headed in for a fun day. We had lunch at the Shake Shack, visited Uncle Nate's apartment, and ended the day with a walk through Central Park. It was lots of fun and the kids actually did great-who knows we may have to do it again soon?!?!?

Someone is anxious to get on the train to head into the city...
Having some lunch outside...
Someone doesn't like to stay in his stroller too long...
All you need to keep a 2 year old content amidst the city chaos is a little ice cream shake...
And lots of candy! Aiden's first trip to Dylan's Candy Bar:)
All this fun wore our little bug out finally!
And here are just a few more cute pictures of the boys while Grandma and Grandpa were here. I have a feeling that G and G Rogers have much better pictures than me!!!!!

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch (Still on rewind mode!)...

In early October, we headed to the pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa Rogers! The first thing Aiden wanted to do was get the wagon to pick up his pumpkins:
Getting ready to head out to pick pumpkins...
All ready for the hayride!
Our rule is that you can only get a pumpkin that you can carry...
I guess he found one!
Ready to take our pumpkins home...
Our little pumpkin!
All ready to go home:)

Happy Fall!
