Loving the Water Table:)

Aunt Jill and Uncle Tom gave Aiden this awesome water table for his birthday! He loves, loves, loves it:) Thank YOU!!!!

It's been a few crazy weeks around here-can you believe I haven't posted in almost two weeks???? We are glad that we made it back to Iowa to spend time with family and hopefully I will get a few pictures posted soon-I haven't even downloaded them on our computer yet. After a LONG day of travel on Monday, our house has been battling colds, lots of catch-up work, lack of sleep (due to Aiden's night waking, I think because he is sick), trying to recover from traveling, and cleaning. Let's just say, I can't wait for a relaxing, enjoyable weekend!!!

Happy Sixteen Months!

We are off to Iowa tomorrow to be with Chris' family. Chris' cousin, Katie, was killed in a train accident this past Friday in Chicago. She will be greatly missed by many. Katie had an amazing spirit and was such a joy to be around. It's a rare thing to meet one who continually spreads their optimism and love for life to others. We know that she has moved on to dancing in heaven. Please keep her family in your prayers.

Beach Baby!

What a gorgeous day we had in CT!!!!! 80 degrees and sunshine=happy baby and happy mama:) Although our morning started out rough with a 4:30 am screaming Aiden wake-up call, our day quickly turned into a fabulous one. We spent the morning at the park with friends before having lunch and Bananagrams with a group of friends back at our home:)

Daddy surprised us with coming home early this afternoon, both Aiden and I were enjoying a nice snooze! After naptime we headed down to the beach in town. I would have to say that Aiden takes after his Mommy and LOVES the beach! He loved playing in the sand, chasing the seagulls, and people watching:) I can't wait to visit the beach again soon with our little bug!

Loving some family time...

It's been awhile since we have last updated because our little family has been so fortunate to spend the past week with Grammy Ruff, Aunt Jen and Clem, and Aunt Jill and Jackson:)

If you can imagine, a week with three babies under 16 months makes for a wild and crazy time! Our extended weekend included: lots of playtime, a trip to the park, eating SOOO much food (in typical Ruff style), trying to make quilts, a trip to the ER for Jackson (all is on the mend now), and trying to shop!

It's really awesome that we got the three babies together. We haven't been able to all get together since last May, and it was even more special that Grammy got to be here because she has never been with all three of her grandchildren at the same time. I struggle with living farther away from our families while we raise Aiden because we are so close to them and want him to develop relationships with his extended family. As much as we love video chatting over the computer, random phone calls with Aiden, and special packages/cards in the mail from those that we love, the moments that we get to spend quality time with family is SO precious to us.
