Oh goodness, I am just accepting the fact that I'm behind on life. But I am still here. And I'm ready to update. Welcome to January 2014. The beginning of a new year.
We spent A LOT of time inside this month. Like A LOT. Seriously, cold weather has just been brutal this year especially when you have a little little one at home.
Since we have afternoon preschool, we spent a lot of mornings just hanging out in our pajamas.
Aiden and I took our first Mommy and me movie date to Frozen. I think I may have wanted to go more than him and it was wonderful. I'm already hoping to buy it and save it for sweet Abby!
Did I tell you that we are stuck inside a lot? The beauty of it is that my kids have really become great players and developed some great imaginations. See our train below...
They regularly use their imaginations to play...playing school, Paw Patrol, Rescue Bots, puppies, and so much more. I LOVE watching them play together in a whole other world:)
We joined the mom's group in town for a tour of the firehouse. The boys were elated!
Someone started twice a week swim lessons! We are just about to complete month two and Aiden is doing so well. He would love to continue on but I haven't signed us up yet for March just because it's a lot of work to trek three kids to swim lessons two afternoons a week---eeek, what to do, what to do?!?!
We did sneak any moments we could to head outside...
And SOME super special five year old is starting to read. It's making my heart sing listening to him read! (I don't think Abby was interested in hearing big brother read:))
Someone is all over the house as she starts to take more and more steps on her own. And seriously, this girl is amazing. Rarely, rarely cries. Easiest little baby ever!
This is very normal in our house. So if you are one of those families that don't allow jumping on the couch, that doesn't happen here. Our couch regularly turns into a house, a fort, an airplane, a jungle gym, or about anything else they want it to be.
Dance Party with little sister:)
And we took an extra special trip over MLK weekend. We headed north to Jersey to see our best buddies! We had lots of play time with our friends during the day trying to wear the kids out so bedtime would occur and the adults could have fun together!!!!!!
This included our first trip bowling...
And of course, we had to hit up our beloved weekly McDonald's date!
We miss our friends so much so it was SOOO wonderful to see them!
What a wonderful month we had and a great way to kick off 2014!
