We had our last swim class on Monday!!!! I am so proud of my precious boy who just finished his first set of swim lessons:) We are all set to feel more comfortable at the pool this summer---one more week and the pool opens up around here, YEAH!!! We had our favorite neighbors over after swim class for some playtime and lunch. And then we spent the afternoon hanging around the house:)
Aiden headed to school on Tuesday while Andrew and I took a break from our normal Tuesday morning run, due to the major rain that was coming down, and headed to the fabric store for an upcoming project that I'm working on and Homegoods to just do some browsing!!! I could spend forever in that store, but unfortunately, we didn't have much time because we had to head back to get Aiden...but I did end up getting a few cute things! After naps, we spent another day around the house (more rain!) where we munched on some homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Someone enjoyed them very much...
And of course, this little guy had to play trucks!
We started off our morning on Wednesday with a trip to Dunkin Donuts!!! I was hoping to push them both in the double stroller there, but Aiden decided that he wanted to walk so our trip that was going to only take about twenty minutes, ended up taking an hour! But we had fun and everyone got some exercise (AND some donuts!!!!). Then, we headed over to the library for our favorite story time. Our afternoon was spent playing around the house and having our favorite treat, popsicles!
We had a special day on Thursday, for a couple reason. First, I begged Chris to work from home and so we were treated with Chris' presence a little more than usual. He was pretty busy early on in the week, so we hadn't seen much of him, but it is always nice to have him around for a few extra hours when he works from home! The other big thing about Thursday was that Aiden had an orientation day at his preschool for next year! Since we didn't have to get going so early, we spent the morning just chilling around the house-playing toys, reading books, etc. We dropped off Andrew at his usual playgroup (where thankfully the other moms together took care of the little man who was more than content playing with all of the new toys) while I took Aiden to his new preschool. He was a little shy at first, but once he found the stash of play cell phones, he was a-ok! We are very excited to be going there in the fall. After some much-needed naps, we headed to our neighborhood park for lots of playtime! We made it home to have some dinner and then we had lots of fun outside, with Daddy at our side!
Many of Aiden's morning start with a little car playing...
And that's what happened Friday. Except that Aiden woke up with a 103 fever! Instead of doing our usual fun activities, we took a trip to the doctor. Thankfully, he tested negative for strep throat, but with some doctor orders to rest and recover, we took a chill day around the house. It was gorgeous in the afternoon, so I decided to wash our dogs which the boys got such a kick out of the hose. Nothing like the simple things to keep them entertained...
Chris took an earlier train home where we went and met him! Unfortunately, probably due to not feeling so well, the meltdowns occurred shortly after and bedtime was an early one! Which was great as I had to head out a much-needed girls' Pinterest craft night!!!
