Our Week In Review...

This is from last week...

Look who found his Woody pajamas-and this is what started my morning off bright and early on Monday morning (and do you notice the Buzz phone tucked into his pants?)...
We quickly changed out of our pajamas and headed to our weekly music class:) After music, we stayed at the community center with some friends and the kids went crazy in the gym. What you do in the winter to keep these kids busy! After everyone parted ways, the kids and I walked over to the library and checked out some new books and movies. We can't stay too long because these kids are a little too rowdy for our library! Finally, we headed home for some naps and spent the afternoon just chilling around the house!

On Tuesday, Aiden had another morning at preschool while Andrew and I did some major errand running. It's amazing what you can do with just one kid in tow-we made it through AC Moore (for some craft items), Carter's/Osh Kosh (for some sale shopping to stock up for next year), Gap Outlet (for a return), TJ Maxx (for a fundraising gift for Aiden's school) all within about an hour! Andrew was wonderful between snacks and the new scenery, he had a great time being my errand buddy. We made it back to school just in time to pick up Aiden and head home! Both kids were worn out and were ready for naps. We headed over to our friend's house in the afternoon for some playtime and a delicious gourmet dinner of boxed macaroni and cheese:) When we arrived home, we changed into our pajamas and had some playtime upstairs in Andrew's room before our little one headed to bed!
While I am putting Andrew to bed and picking up at the end of the day, Aiden usually enjoys watching one of his favorite shows in our bed! I'm pretty sure he picked Little Einsteins-his favorite for the week!

Wednesday was a BIG day around here-HAIRCUTS!!!!!!!! It's been a long time coming, but both of these boys were in desperate need of some major trimming. We started off the morning with a trip to the groomers-Good bye to Cobi and Sheffield as they were on their way to the haircuts first. Then, I drove the boys to the children's salon in town, Jack and Jill, an adorable little place that specializes on children's hair. It was such a wonderful experience for little kids to get a haircut and they had a deal on Wednesday mornings that I had to take them up on. Here are the before and afters:

Before, Aiden's hair was actually really bushy (although you can't really tell in the picture)
And Andrew's hair was just starting to go wild...
And now, Aiden is all adorable!
And so is this little guy!
Aiden was wonderful while getting his haircut, using his manners with the hair dresser and not flinching. Andrew, for his first official haircut, was a bit wilder! He sat in my lap (or stood) and it took a little bit of wrestling to keep him still, but overall he did a wonderful job too. They gave us his first official haircut certificate with his precious baby locks all sealed up. After haircuts, we walked through town to get a treat at the bread store and a much-needed coffee drink for Mommy! We had our usual afternoon of playing around the house, dinner, and baths!

Another school day on Thursday! I have to say that I am very thankful for these few extra moments with Andrew while I know Aiden is having a blast at school with his friends and teachers:) After dropping Aiden off, I ran a quick errand to the post office before returning home for a very fun visit with a friend here in town. We were working on preparing things for our craft night-although we didn't get much done with our two little wild boys running around! After I picked Aiden up from school, the boys were treated to a little extra tv show while I prepared some lunch!
After naps, we made this water rainbow before we headed off to the grocery store to pick up a few things for my craft night that was planned the following day!

I have to tell you that by Friday during busy season, I am beat! Andrew wakes up at 5:45 am every day-no fail lately, and Chris leaves for work by 6:45 and doesn't arrive home most nights until 9:30-10:00. Andrew woke up during the night on Thursday for a good hour before we finally coaxed him to sleep with a bottle of milk (yes, we are still working on breaking that habit) and Chris was off to work before 6 am-YIKES. When Aiden awoke, I have to admit that we watched at least an hour of television in bed (or I actually slept) until Andrew awoke at 8:15!!! I felt like a whole new person not waking up until then.
Since Andrew has had a little cold and Aiden was developing a deep cough, I decided to run them to the doctor just to check them out, especially with all the kids we know that are sick right now. Thankfully, they just have head colds and nothing else! We grabbed a small to-go lunch at Panera before heading home to rest and recover the rest of the day! Super Why made an appearance sometime during the day...
And so did our tunnel that was tucked away in a closet for lots of fun!

Finally, Daddy arrived home to take over bedtime duties and I enjoyed a fun night with some friends doing some wonderful craft activities off Pinterest! What a fun week:)
