Our Week In Review...

We started off our week with another round of swim lessons. This is our before we leave the house picture-someone looks scared of what their brother might do to them?

Another fun swim lesson and another fun time with the babysitter for Andrew:) We had some pizza and playtime with friends after because the weather was GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After nap time, I spent too much time blowing up this sprinkler pool that we got last year on clearance, only to find out there was a hole in it!!!!! It still worked enough to have some fun, but now I'm on a search for a patch because this thing is SO cool:) Our friends came over to play in the pool, sprinkler, and water table!!!!
We made some ice cream cones cupcakes that night which just thrilled the socks off my sweet Aiden. Let's just say that on Tuesday he rushed home from school to have a special treat with his brother...
(There may have been a slight meltdown because I made him eat some sort of nutritious lunch before we could just feast on cupcakes! You have to love three year olds...) Our afternoon was spent doing some cleaning...
And some reading...
Before we headed to the library on Wednesday, we had our own version of story time at home, again!!! Can you see that we just love our library time?!?! After library, we headed to the park with our friends for a outdoor picnic and lots of playtime. We love the parks around here! We headed to our neighborhood park in the afternoon for some hide and seek, slides, and lots more playing!!!!!
Aiden headed off to school on Thursday while Andrew and I snuck in a quick run before having some friends over for playgroup. We spent the afternoon around the house, a lot of time outside...
Our highlight of the night was waiting for Daddy to arrive home...

They love to play in the front yard for a change-running on the sidewalk, climbing the driveways, and watching all the vehicles pass by...(And check out my flowerbeds, all 64 petunias planted, although I have a feeling I have some to replant because my little Andrew got a little too curious about the flowers and may have pulled a few out while I had my back turned!).
Chris worked from home on Friday, which is always a nice treat just to have him help a little more in the morning. I woke up early to sneak in a quick run while he took care of the kids' breakfast! We did some chores around the house-vacumning, dusting, laundry, etc., etc., etc. The kids started to get antsy and Chris was on work call after work call, so I decided to get us out of the house and take a walk downtown for a sweet treat at the coffee store (and some much-needed caffeine for me!). After we had some delicious treats and watched SO many trucks/buses/cars go by, we headed to sports class for Aiden!!!!!
In the afternoon, we were lucky to have Uncle Nate come join our household zoo and keep these boys entertained so I could run a couple errands, Chris could finish work, and we had a delicious bbq to enjoy the beautiful weather!

Flashback!

I was going through some old electronics and discovered a camera with some pictures that I forgot to download...check out this shot of Aiden! (I think he was close to 21 months-doesn't he look so small?!?! And cute?!?!)

So it looks like the zoo was back at Jill's house in the first video:) The second video, don't even ask me to explain why Aiden does the things that he does?

Our Week In Review...

On Monday, we had swim lessons, lots of playtime, and some new books at the library!!!!!

Tuesday started off with lots of playtime at home in our pajamas since it was Spring Break at school and we didn't have to rush off to get ready in the morning...

The rest of the day consisted of grocery shopping with my wild boys, a trip to the park, and even more playtime around the house...

And lots of time outside...

We headed to the library on Wednesday and had some friends over for pizza/playtime:) After some short naps, we woke up for a walk with the dogs and some more time outside!!!

We spent our Thursday morning at Barnes and Noble for snacks/train table! We headed out for a run in the afternoon before a trip to the park:) What a fun week we have had, but then the week started to take a down turn!

When we put Aiden to bed on Thursday night, he threw up. After cleaning him up, he quickly fell asleep before throwing up again shortly after. Again, another round of sheets on his bed and back to sleep before waking up again with another bout of sickness. Then, we moved him to our bed where he slept soundly through the rest of the night. Right around this time, I started to get violently sick all through the night! It was TERRIBLE, I don't know if I have ever been so sick (I even looked at Chris once in the night while lying on the bathroom floor and said that I felt like I was going to die!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After surviving through the night, I moved to our bed from the bathroom floor while Chris got up with the boys and started the morning off with them. I finally got up around 11:00 on Friday so Chris could take Aiden to his sports class and I could watch Andrew and wait for a handyman to come fix our dryer. When Chris arrived home at 12:30, he felt so nauseous that he headed to the bathroom while I fed the kids lunch, ran to the drug store for some much-needed Gatorade, and picked up the kids and plopped them in bed for some television time before naps. We got Andrew down around 2:00 and Aiden just laid with me for nap time. All four of us were asleep for about two hours;) Once 4:00 hit, I was SO achy and nauseated that I couldn't even move from our bed. So Chris took over the evening duties and cared for the children all the way to bedtime when he finally collapsed into exhaustion.

Thank goodness both of us woke up feeling much better on Saturday because it was a rough 24 hours at this house:) Both parents being extremely sick with no help was not easy, but we survived and all I have to say is thank goodness for a little extra television, our children's happy dispositions, and each other to lean on!!!!!!

Birthday Fun...

This weekend, we headed to PA to spend some time with my sister's family and lucky us, my mom was visiting too!!!!!!!!!!!!! We arrived around lunchtime and took our first trip to Chuck-E-Cheese. Someone ran right to their MeMe...

And was mesmerized by the show...

After a quick lunch while watching the show (it reminds me so much of our own childhood), we headed over to the rides and games...

The boys had such a blast and played, played, and played!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, we called it quits and headed back to Jill's house where the boys played (aka destroyed!) toys with Jack. Something about all the new toys made my boys so happy:) While they played, the ladies fixed some dinner and Jill made this awesome Octonauts cake for Jack...

Somehow, I failed to get any more pictures from the night but we had a blast celebrating Jack's third birthday!! Happy Third Birthday Jackson!!!!!

Our Week In Review...

The highlight of our Monday was our first parent-child swim lesson:) Aiden learned how to kick, scoop, and some safety tips around the water:) He loved it, despite the freezing temperatures! I do love a little extra time in the week with just us while Andrew stayed home with the babysitter. And he LOVED playing trucks and cars with someone new!

Tuesday was Pajama Day at school:) I bet you couldn't guess what pajamas Aiden wears, only his favorites...

And someone didn't want to be left out so he wore his pajamas for drop off...

We headed home for a quick workout and a major grocery run before rushing back to school to pick up Aiden. After some quick naps, we spent our afternoon at the park!!! Now that spring has hit, it's our regular afternoon activity;)

Before we headed to story time on Wednesday, we had our own version of story time here. This boy loves to play librarian about three times a day...

After our Easter story time which included some crafting, we headed home to meet some friends for an Easter egg hunt! We had some lunch in the backyard, played lots of toys, and these three big kids did some major egg hunting...

Let's just say that we had A LOT of fun with our friends!!!!

Aiden had mismatch day at school in the morning so he wore an assortment of clothes, which was no easy thing for this boy who likes to be in style! Let's just say that he changed outfits like four times before we left. While Aiden was in school, Andrew and I headed to our weekly play group which we love! After naps, I shared the little bit of puppy chow that we had left over with my sweet boy. I was working in the kitchen while he was watching a show and enjoying his sweet snack on the couch, not such a good idea, I quickly discovered...

Before heading out on an evening walk, we played with our Easter eggs from the hunt...

And someone had A LOT of jelly beans!!!!!

Chris had the day off on Friday so we really had a low key day:) We did a Trader Joes run and spent the afternoon around the house. It was really nice to have Chris at home for the day, despite the fact that our three year old had one of those "off" days where life was just not going his way ALL day! But thank goodness for bedtimes and some quiet time at night just to recover from an exhausting day! And this sweet boy just had to don his Hawkeye sweatsuit...
