Back from Iowa...

Chris, Aiden, and I had a great trip back to Iowa this past week:)  Aiden survived another round of flights, including one crazy return flight that I will give more details on later.  We spent our first day in Des Moines, Iowa where Aiden got to meet one of my best friends, April, and her baby bump that will be arriving in July:)  I can't wait to swap baby stories and have our little ones meet up soon!  While we were there, we were lucky enough to have a Rock Bottom dinner with Aunt Jackie and cousin Sara-one of the many relatives that was graced with Aiden's spit up during the week!  The rest of the week, we spent the time in Cedar Falls.  Chris enjoyed the time away from work and really enjoyed watching the first Cubs' games of the season-especially since we don't get WGN out here in Connecticut.  I enjoyed getting together with friends and some good Iowa food including a couple Jimmy Johns subs:)
Aiden took his first trip to the Easter bunny on Friday!  Although he was tired in the late afternoon, we managed to get some smiles for the camera.  On Easter day, Aiden loved meeting  his great-grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and many other relatives!  We enjoyed some great food and family time.
Our trip home was a LONG journey, but we finally arrived HOME SWEET HOME!!!  Our flight from Detroit to LaGuardia got delayed for an hour or so.  We finally boarded the plane...only to be held about another hour on the runway before taking off.  As we approached the NYC area, the pilot came on the intercom and said that we were in holding as LaGuardia was not taking any arrivals.  So then, we were stuck flying around in circles.  We flew in circles so long that our plane was running low on gas and was rerouted to Hartford to refuel and wait to be cleared to take off again.  Finally around midnight, about five hours after expected, we arrived at LaGuardia and could head home!  Woah, it was quite a journey-especially since I have the flu and Aiden was EXHAUSTED after a busy week!
And to add to the excitement of the week, Aiden has a new cousin born to my sister and her husband, Jill and Tom!  Jackson Thomas Breiner was born on Easter day-their own little Jack rabbit.  We can't wait to meet the little boy and are so excited for Aiden to have cousins so close in age:)
Here are some pictures from the exciting week in Iowa:
